Introduction
In order to allow the public to better understand the development proposals in the San Tin Technopole, and to actively reach out to the affected residents and stakeholders, a Community Liaison Service Team for San Tin Technopole has been formed by Lands Department and Civil Engineering and Development Department.
The Community Liaison Service team is being operated by the Pentecostal Church of Hong Kong. To ensure better understanding by the local community of the development and progress of the San Tin Technopole project and general arrangements on compensation and rehousing matters, the team has taken the initiative of contacting the affected residents and other stakeholders. At the same time, the team will collect views and aspirations from them so that the Government could respond as soon as possible. If necessary, the team will also provide counselling to the affected residents and make referrals to the relevant welfare organization/government departments.
Pentecostal Church of Hong Kong was founded in 1954, initially establishing its church, school and social services in Wong Tai Sin. It was officially registered with the Government as a non-profit corporate entity in 1964. Today, it has developed into a diversified Christian organization covering various areas, including churches, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, rehabilitation services, elderly services, family services, training and development, community services and resident social worker services.
